Pending for 2023: "Touch A Truck". Touch a Truck event is a unique event that allows trucks and other vehicles of all kinds to gather in one place. Children of all ages, with parent participation, will have a chance to touch, sit in, and explore these amazing pieces of equipment, meet their drivers/operators, and learn more about the businesses behind the machines.
The event will be sensory-sensitive for the first hour. There will be no horns or sirens from 10:00-11:00a.m. We will be running this event in conjunction with the Independence on the Iroquois bicycling event. There will be opportunities to learn about bicycling as well as many other activities.
Most turns are at T or Stop intersections. Look down and see what the paint on the road is indicating if you weren't paying attention a telephone pole back cause you were gawking at the scenery.
Sometimes there are turns off the road of travel, and we try to have a sign somewhere before that turn on the shoulder in a spot we can find to get it into the ground. It could be on either side of the road. If you see an arrow sign be expecting to turn at the next intersection, There will still be painted road markings and when in doubt (miscreants) follow the paint.
